I understand the pain that we all go through upon losing a cherished four legged companion. A few weeks later I contacted Boxers Without Borders Rescue Group. They came to interview me, it was all very professional. I adopted Bobby, a malnourished and abused male boxer from California. He is a delight. Everyday I see his confidence building and a return of his enjoyment of life. They have so much to teach us if we take the time to observe.

Jake and his family are celebrating because his diabetes is in remission. He was taken off the dry food and fed low carb high protein canned food. Eventually we were able to stop the insulin.

Feeding him the proper diet is all it took to get him well again.

He was also a little stiff and sore with elbow arthritis so we started him on Metacam and the stairs are a breeze now.

Jake is Fit and Fiesty!

If you are older do not get vaccinated every year.

Do not eat artificially colored biscuits, they are full of chemicals.

Racoons are cute to look at but stay away from them.

If you are out and about get regular deworming with a good product.

Stay buckled up in the backseat of the car. Those airbags are deadly.

Kitties…you need more canned and less dry food.

Doggies…you need more fresh veggies and fruits. (No grapes, onions or citrus though).
